Night at the Opera

My husband and I have created a game, it's like Werewolf but cooler. I'm excited!

MC

I've finally done it; I've played a Larp.

To be more precise I've played a Harp, which is much more dangerous. A Larp is simply live action role play... Harp is Heavy action role play. This is the full on head to foot costumes, throwing rice, and hitting people with foam covered PVC pipes.

It is probably one of the most fun thing I have ever done, and I still go back whenever I can. The Harp I go to is called MC, and it is a good 150 people strong on a good day. They have build a Keep, a Fort, a Town, a Royal Court, and a Merchants row.

I would 100% suggest going to a harp/larp. I would also suggest very strong that you join first as a NonCom (noncombat).

It is very much like taking your D&D character sheet, dressing up like you character, wielding weapons and all, and walking into a town of 150 people who all have character sheets. Of course, for the purposes of a plot often each person plays an NPC. Because of this sometimes you will have 50 pcs and 50 npcs (and gm's, team leaders, etc).

All around it is a wonderful game.
